The company’s expertise, characterisation and transformation of powders, fitted perfectly with my field of study so I applied and was awarded the internship. With a Master’s degree in Process Engineering, Ouassila initially joined SDTech as an intern in February 2017. She was able to demonstrate her considerable talents during her internship and was recruited as an R&D Project Manager.
« At SDTech, I am a Project Manager in the R&D department. The challenge of my position is to head up projects which will further the development of the company in the medium or long term. It involves conducting studies, monitoring achievements and respecting budgets and deadlines. Among other responsibilities, I am in charge of the POLIFRIL project. This is an innovative project for Additive Manufacturing in which SDTech collaborates with C2MA, the Materials Centre of the Alès Engineering School ». POLIFRIL « LASER FRITEDFlame Retardant Polymers » is a project co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.

« My name is Katarina. I have been with SDTech for over four years now. For me it was important to join a company offering a range of different projects, in order to create the work dynamic essential for my professional development. »
With a doctorate in chemical engineering, Katarina worked for L’Oréal as Laboratory Manager for the R&D of their cosmetic products. Drawing on this experience, she joined SDTech in May 2013 and uses her high level of expertise to serve the team. Initially recruited as a project manager, she is now Director of our Analysis Laboratory.
« My main responsibility is to develop the laboratory and manage the team. Our role is to meet the needs of our customers in terms of analysis and characterization of powders. Thanks to our cutting edge technology, we are able to provide precise information on the size, shape, surface area or even thermal properties of particles. Our goal is to offer our customers tailor-made solutions combining precision and responsiveness. »

« My name is Florence and I am 35 years old. After several rewarding years working for large groups, I decided to try a new adventure by joining a smaller structure: an SME. For me, it is not so much the size of the company that matters, but its taste for challenge and innovation. »
A graduate of the Albi school of Engineering, Florence has worked for the pharmaceutical giant Sanofi and also the Mane group, a leader in the creation of aromas and fragrances. She joined the SDTech team in September 2013, as R&D project manager.
« At SDTech, I am an engineer in the R&D department where I am also a member of the TREC (Tire Recycling) team, a project led by Michelin for treating used tyres.
SDTech was selected by the French tyre giant alongside other prestigious partners such as the CEA and the PCAS group (Protéus) to participate in the development of an innovative and revolutionary project for the future of the automotive industry. This will enable SDTech to demonstrate our expertise and professionalism. » Florence coordinates the TREC troupe and artfully sets the pace for a project delivered with great finesse.

Director of Production
« My name is Axel and I am 33 years old. My background and training mean that I have a strong attachment to the chemical industries. When I joined SDTech, I was primarily attracted by the opportunity to be part of an expanding SME where I could manage the entire production department and in which the human component plays a vital role. »
A graduate of the Albi school of Engineering with an option in pharmaceutical engineering, Axel joined the SDTech team in October 2010 as an engineer in the Production Department.
Today he is Director of Production at SDTech and a member of the steering committee, he manages a team of around ten people, which continues to grow and strengthen its expertise. Axel is also resolutely dedicated to providing both tactical and technical advice to the SDTech indoor soccer team.
« The role of the production team is to grind, micronize, mix, sift or shape powders for our customers.
Our clients come from a wide variety of business sectors: food industry, pharmaceutical industry, the chemical, mineral or cosmetic industries…
My role is to ensure that our production activities take place in compliance with client specifications and HSE standards, and our overriding objectives are efficiency, continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. »

R&D Project Manager
« My name is Celine. I got to know SDTech as a client. A few years later, I moved back to this area just as a new position within the subsidiary SDTech Nano was being created. The knowledge and skills required for the post seemed to match my profile and the type of projects I would be working on suited my career aspirations. I applied, was accepted and thus joined the SDTech team ».
A trained chemical engineer, Céline has worked for various companies in her favourite field: formulation.
She joined the SDTech team in September 2015 as R&D Project Manager within the SDTech Nano subsidiary.
« As Project Manager within the subsidiary SDTech Nano, my role is to identify, manage and validate R&D projects ».
It is with her widely envied but never equalled serene attitude that Céline is able to calmly ensure that deadlines and budgets are met. The projects she manages, dealing with the characterisation and custom processing of nanomaterials are each more innovative than the last.
In particular she is in charge of the SYTOMÉ project¸« SYnthesis and Treatment of Multi-Element Oxides ».
This project was initiated by SDTech Nano and its partner CEA Marcoule and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.

« My name is Dominique and I have been with SDTech for 12 years. I have witnessed our humble beginnings, optimistic changes of premises and enthusiastic expansions … and today, it is with great pride that I recognise and participate in the company’s growth and success. »
Dominique joined the team in January 2003. Since then his role has evolved on a continuous basis and his skill set has been strengthened accordingly.
« I started out initially as a production operator. I was trained on the job and learned the trade. I was then promoted to team leader, then supply manager, and today I am the R&D workshop manager.
If I look back on the past 12 years, what I appreciate is the opportunity to broaden my skills and progress within the company. »
